How Much Money Melissa Rauch Really Made On The Big Bang Theory

Published

on

Melissa Rauch

During its celebrated 12-season run on CBS, “The Big Bang Theory” developed a legitimate reputation for populating its narrative with unforgettable characters. That, of course, includes its iconic central character who — as portrayed by Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Kunnal Nayar, and Simon Helberg — were front and center for virtually every single episode of the show from its pilot to its finale. There were, however, some key players added to the cast of “The Big Bang Theory” along the way, and few proved quite as integral to the series’ narrative as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Walowitz.

The character, played to utter perfection by Melissa Rauch, debuted early in the third season of “The Big Bang Theory,” and promptly became the primary romantic interest of the would-be player Howard Walowitz (Helberg). She would remain so all the way through the series’ finale, with the pair eventually marrying and bringing little Walowitz children into the world. Even as Bernadette would go on to become one of the more divisive characters on “The Big Bang Theory” (at least according to Comic Book Resources), Rauch still became an irreplaceable presence in the series’ esteemed cast. By series end, the actor was rightfully being rewarded as such in both screen time, and salary. Here’s how much money Melissa Rauch made playing Bernadette on “The Big Bang Theory.”

Melissa Rauch

To be clear, it’s tough to tell exactly how much money Melissa Rauch made from her 209 appearances on “The Big Bang Theory.” That’s primarily because we don’t know precisely what she was paid for each of those episodes. According to Celebrity Net Worth, however, we know that in the early days of her “The Big Bang Theory” run, Rauch was making about $75,000 per episode. As Rauch’s character became more prominent, so too did the actor’s pay, with Variety reporting that, ahead of the final two seasons of “Big Bang,” Rauch was pulling in roughly $200,000 per episode.

Per that same Variety report, we also know she got a major pay-bump over the series final 48-episodes, reportedly netting in upwards of $500,000 per episode. That translates to Rauch earning about $11 million dollars for each of the last two seasons of “The Big Bang Theory.” And with Celebrity Net Worth reporting the actor is currently worth a cool $20 million, it’s clear enough that much of Rauch’s fortune was earned playing Bernadette Rostenkowski-Walowitz on the set of the CBS hit.

Rauch and the rest of her “Big Bang Theory” co-stars have, naturally, all kept busy since the show ended, with the actor herself booking roles in Steven Soderbergh’s film “The Laundromat,” the indie rom-com “Ode to Joy,” and lending her voice to several animated projects. But there’s little question that “The Big Bang Theory” is the gig that made Melissa Rauch rich.

Hilary Duff shares how she’s raising her kids to be resilient and ready for anything

Published

on

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff doesn’t care if you have an issue with the way she parents.

The “How I Met Your Father” star and mom of three is certainly no stranger to unsolicited criticism. From being shamed by some for kissing her now 10-year-old son, Luca, on the lips, to fans taking issue with the 34-year-old posing nude on the cover of Women’s Health, people aren’t afraid to tell her how they feel about even her most innocuous personal parenting decisions.

“Every family gets the opportunity to make their own goals and what works for them, and everybody else needs to shut their mouth,” Duff told TODAY Parents. “Aren’t we all going through enough? Why does anyone have the nerve to comment on somebody else’s family?”

After landing her first television role in 1993, Duff has spent decades fortifying a thick enough skin to let all the criticism just role off her back. (“I think ‘the weird ones’ are the ones that looked into that and thought it was weird,” Duff says of “kissgate.”)

Hilary Duff

Now, along with her husband, Matthew Koma, Duff is passing on that resiliency to her three kids, Luca Cruz, 10, Banks Violet, 2, and Mae James, 1.

“I feel like everybody else right now — a little worn down and powerless, for sure, and like my voice doesn’t matter,” she explained. “But I do know that in my house my voice does matter, and that is my purpose on this Earth right now — raising my kids to be good people; to be confident and kind people who have a well-rounded understanding of others and the world around them. I know that is my most important job and that’s where I have strength and power.”

For Duff, raising resilient children means, among many other things, raising kids who love to learn and read. Recently, Duff partnered with Epic Books, a digital library for kids, parents and educators, to encourage more children and their parents to spend time with a book (or two).

“Obviously we love books and our bookshelf at home is crazy,” she said. “But being on the go and traveling as much as we do, using the app was such a great way to keep (my kids) reading — you can travel so many places through books and have so many epic adventures.”

Hilary Duff

Fostering a love of books in her home is especially important to the “Lizzie McGuire” star at a time when school districts across the country are banning books that discuss race and LGBTQ+ issues.

“I don’t know what we’re protecting (kids from), except for avoiding some really great conversations that can be had between households and families,” she added. “Reading can help everybody move forward with kindness and acceptance of one another.”

Resiliency is also baked into her children’s names, Duff shares.

“I have to admit, the names that I gave my kids are not family names,” she explained. “We just wanted something that we all loved and wanted to say over and over and over again and that we felt would turn them into the kind of kids that we want them to be.”

For her daughter, Banks, Duff said she wanted a “strong name, almost like a last name for a first name,” since Banks was her first daughter.

“We were also living in SoHo at the time, and there was an event for a girl in prison for drawing or writing,” Duff adds. “We were walking to dinner one night and saw it and I said, ‘Oh my gosh. We have to go with that name — it’s perfect.'”

For her firstborn, Luca, Duff says the universe gave her his name during a flight with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie, to Italy.

“He saw Lucca on the map and I was like, ‘I really love that name,'” she shared. “We spelled it differently, but it was a universal name you know. We didn’t know if we were having boy or girl, but either way we would have still chosen that name.”

It was the newest addition to the family, “Mae Mae,” who threw Duff for a loop. The actor was convinced she was having a boy, she says, and had one specific name picked up all the way up to the moment she delivered and realized Mae was actually a girl.

Hilary Duff

“When she came out, I was completely shocked,” she explained. “We had a boy name picked out, and it was going to be Otto because I love ‘The Diary of Anne Frank.’ The dad’s name, who got her book published, was Otto Franklin, who was really good man. So then we were kind of scrambling at the last minute and both of our moms were born in May. So we went with Mae Mae.”

Armed with powerful names, a lot of reading and learning time and a lesson or two from a mom who has grown up in the harsh spotlight of Hollywood, Duff is confident that regardless of what the future holds, her children will be strong, intelligent, empathetic leaders — especially since, she says, she’s not afraid to follow their lead from time to time, too.

“I’m really trying to learn from them, too,” she said. “I think that’s one of the biggest things — letting them guide you, too.”

All You Need To Know About Monica Bellucci’s Daughter Deva Cassel

Published

on

Monica Bellucci

Monica Bellucci passed down the acting and modeling genes to her daughter Deva Cassel.

The Italian actress welcomed her first daughter in 2004 with her then-husband Vincent Cassel. The pair also share another daughter, Léonie, who was born in 2010.

While Léonie remains more private as she is growing up, Deva entered the public eye when she began following in her mother’s footsteps as a model. Now 19, she already has some major accomplishments under her belt like a Vogue Italy cover alongside her mother and an upcoming Netflix series, The Leopard.

As the daughter of two successful actors, Deva told Gen V in her November 2023 cover story that she learned a lot from her parents growing up — not just about the industry, but also how to protect herself.

“They taught me to always look forward, to always protect myself, to always be kind, and always keep wonder in mind,” she said. “There’s much more, but the point is that they’ve taught me how to handle unexpected situations and live by my own rules, while always respecting people and the environment I’m in.”

From her childhood to her passions, here’s everything to know about Monica Bellucci’s daughter, Deva Cassel.

Bellucci welcomed Deva on Sept. 12, 2004, just a few weeks shy of her own 40th birthday. Deva was born in Rome, weighing 6 lbs. 7 oz., per Hello! magazine. Her name means “celestial beauty” in the Hindu religion.

“I feel neither strong nor weak, just balanced. I wouldn’t like to be in any other place, do any other thing or have any other body,” Bellucci told Vanity Fair of her pregnancy as she posed nude on the cover of the magazine.

After welcoming her second daughter, Léonie, five years later, Bellucci opened up about having children after 40 years old and why she felt that she made the right decision to wait.

“Before that I wasn’t ready to become a mother,” she told YOU magazine, per The Irish Examiner. “I wasn’t ready for something so incredibly huge, something that would change my life forever. I think it was because I am an only child. In a way I always felt a child — too much into myself. I worried I wouldn’t be ready to give myself.”

Deva was raised in Paris — her father’s home country — but also spent some time living in Rome and Rio de Janeiro, she told Gen V.

In March 2023, she collaborated with Vogue France during Paris Fashion Week as she got ready for the Dior show. In the video, the model opened up about growing up in Paris and why she considers it the most “beautiful” city.

“I think Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world,” she said in French. “I don’t think you can get a good croissant anywhere other than Paris.”

The young model grew up surrounded by fashion, especially as her mom had a thriving career in the modeling industry and would frequently attend high-fashion events. She also inspired Deva, who joked to Vogue France that even though it sounded “obvious,” her mom truly is her fashion icon.

She added that fashion is “close to [her] heart,” and she was always inspired by it.

“The world of fashion has inspired me since I was a little girl, because I always felt it was important to externalize one’s ideas,” she said in a November 2023 interview with Numéro. “Through fashion, which was often visionary, you can construct a narrative of human history.”

Growing up surrounded by cameras and her mom’s successful career, Deva was inspired by the creative arts from a young age. She told Numéro that she always knew she wanted to pursue a career in the arts and started with modeling because the “world of images” intrigued her.

“One day I accompanied my mother on a shoot, and the photographer wanted to take a few pictures of me,” she told the outlet. “It felt very familiar and natural being in front of camera, and I had a lot of fun. I knew then that I wanted to continue down that path.”

Deva had her first major shoot when she was 14 years old in a fragrance campaign for Dolce & Gabbana. Since then, she’s graced the cover of Vogue Italy alongside her mom in 2021 and walked numerous runways, especially for Dior, with whom she frequently collaborates.

While Deva said she always knew she wanted to work in the creative industry, she didn’t realize how far it could take her — and how successful she would be at such a young age.

“I knew I wanted to work in [the fashion] industry at some point in my life, but I definitely didn’t expect to love it this much and make a living out of it,” she told Gen V.

She is interested in growing her acting career

In addition to being a model, Deva has started following in her mother’s acting footsteps. She got her start in an Italian movie released in 2023, The Beautiful Summer, and will star in Netflix’s upcoming series The Leopard.

While she originally didn’t want to veer into acting, Deva said over time she grew more interested in the field and began to pursue her interests.

Monica Bellucci

“Cinema has fascinated me since childhood, but I refused the idea of working in the business because I didn’t want to do the same thing as my parents,” she told Numéro. “Then, as time went on, I came to understand that it intrigued me, that it involved things I knew about already but which nonetheless took me out of my comfort zone.”

Though she has been enjoying delving into the industry, Deva added that she doesn’t plan on leaving her modeling career anytime soon. She told the outlet she wants to continue to both model and act “for the foreseeable future,” with neither taking the back burner.

She loves to travel

Deva may be young, but she already has a taste for jet-setting across the globe. One of her life goals, she told Gen V, is to have traveled the world by the time she is 30 years old, starting with a first-time visit to Japan in 2024.

The actress’s favorite city may be Paris, but her favorite place in the world is Lithuania, she told the outlet.

Natural Beauty! Salma Hayek Sizzles In A Bikini While Vacationing With A Shirtless Pierce Brosnan

Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek is kicking off the new year on a calm note. The Like a Boss actress, 54, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share intimate snaps while mediating on the beach. Salma, who donned coral lipstick, showed off her amazing curves in a simple black bikini. She posed with her hands on her head in one photo, while another shot showed her sitting in a mediation pose in shallow ocean water with her eyes closed.

“We need to keep our cool,” Salma wrote in the caption of her post — which is one of many from her lengthy winter vacation. It’s unclear where exactly the actress, along with husband, François-Henri Pinault and their 13-year-old daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault, are vacationing. But, it looks like it’s been a ton of fun.

Salma’s family getaway, which started sometime over the Christmas holiday (according to her social media), has included dancing on the beach, doing handstands in the ocean, mediating (of course), and drinking tequila — “but in moderation,” Salma says.

On January 8, the Savages star shared a trio of snaps that showed her taking a tequila shot, which was served in a double-shot glass with a salted-rim. Two days later, Salma posted a closeup selfie while sunbathing in a black crochet top. She let her natural thick, brunette hair run wild in the snap, just like she has throughout most of her beach vacation.

Salma, who turned 54 in September, is enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation before she returns to work. The actress is gearing up for the February 5 release of her new Amazon Prime movie, Bliss, which also stars Owen Wilson.
